Buying a Home Step Five: Escrow

Welcome to Clayton Connolly's "Homeschool 101," where we talk about the basics of buying a home in 60 seconds or less.

Step five, escrow

Escrow begins when we get an acceptance on the home and it ends when you get the keys.

During that time in the middle, it's very important as a buyer to do our inspections. We want to make sure that you know everything about the home. We do inspections for wood-destroying pests, inspections for the home, generally speaking, with a home inspector, as well as the environmental conditions, as well as we learn everything that the seller has to tell us about the home.

This is all very important because we want to make sure you know exactly what you're buying. The home inspection process is actually one of many steps in the escrow process, and I'll be doing some more videos on that as well, but just know that from start to finish, we got you covered.
