Poway is known as the city in the country and I call it my home as well. And I want to share with you three of the best things to do if you make it your home. Number one is the Farmer's Market. They're known for it, it's every Saturday right on Midland. They have awesome local vendors, super family friendly. It's next to the train so the kids can take a little ride at Poway Park. Definitely a family activity that you'll want to hit up. Number two being Lake Poway, it has so much to offer. We have fishing, there's lots of recreation, open space just to enjoy. There's a lot of summer camps that they hold there as well. And the hidden gem, is if you walk all the way back, there's this famous trail known as potato chip rock. It's a fantastic family hike. And you wait in line, there's quite a crowd when you get there, but it's so worth it. So you walk out on the edge, it's a little bit of daredevil, you know there's a little bit of fear factor involved in that, but you'll get an awesome opportunity to take great photos and you'll see this beautiful panoramic views of the Rolling Hills. So check it out, Potato Chip Rock. Number three, being Black Mountain. That hike is so awesome.

So my child has done it at age four, was able to make it all the way up, and it's like a five mile hike, but for me it was pretty tough. So I think it's great for kids, great for adults, so check that out. And I also want to leave you with this one other thing, Poway because it's a city in the country, is known for all of the horse and the agriculture community there.

So the Poway Rodeo which comes around once a year, is a huge hit. Lots of great food, lots of family fun, and whether you're a country or not, you've got to come check it out. My name is Karlee Van Dyke and I hope you found these fun events valuable and I can't wait to see you there.
