San Diego Realtor Emma Dearing walks you through the neighborhood of North Park. Talking briefly about its history, its atmosphere, and all the little things that make North Park a great city.

The number one thing that comes to mind when anyone mentions North Park is typically craft beer, eclectic shops, amazing restaurants and any and all things that might be associated with the word, hipster. Rated the number one most walkable neighborhood in San Diego, there's endless options and things to do right down the street from one another.

North Park is intersected by two main roads, 30th and University. And along these roads is where you're going to find most of the activity. If you didn't know where North Park got its name it's actually because it's north of Balboa Park and Balboa Park has tennis courts, swimming pools, walking trails, and my personal favorite the San Diego Zoo. In North Park, you'll typically find historic craftsman homes along with more modern apartment complexes. Over the past 15 years North Park has been undergoing a massive rejuvenation which has caused the cost of living here to rise, to meet that increased demand to live in this historic yet modern town.

Because the majority of homes here are older, they're typically smaller with limited yard and garage space. So if you're looking to buy a large lot of land and live on a quiet cul-de-sac neighborhood, North Park might not be the place for you. But if you're looking for a city feel but with a more laid back chill vibe and you love to entertain, North Park is the place for you. Whether you're wanting to live in North Park or just looking to spend the day here I can't let the video end without sharing some of my personal favorites. Now the Land of Craft Beer may not sound like the perfect place for someone who has Celiac's like myself but the town is actually extremely gluten friendly. And on a hot day, my personal favorite is to stop a Bivouac Ciderworks to grab a cider.

And if I'm not feeling a cider that day right around the corner is one of my favorite cocktail bars, Seven Grand. Seven Grand has over 700 whiskeys. And I personally think that they make the best whiskey sour. And I actually challenge you guys in the comments. Tell me if you think that, you know a place that makes a better whiskey sour than Seven Grand. I challenge you, let me know. Once I start to get hungry you'll most likely find me down the street at Crazy Burger. Crazy Burger makes craft burgers, but with a unique twist. You can get an elk burger, alligator burger, water buffalo, basically any type of exotic meat you can think of. But if you're less adventurous they also serve beef, vegetarian options, fish.

They have something for everyone. So it's an awesome spot to check out. So do you think that North Park sounds like it could fit your lifestyle? If so, reach out, let me know and I would love to help make you a North Park local.
