Hi, I'm Mike Proctor. I'm a father, I'm a coach, and I'm a realtor. I'm a native of San Diegan. I'm one of the few. I was born and raised here. I grew up out here in East County, in El Cajon, Lakeside, Santee. I went to El Capitan High School, graduated from El Capitan High School.

That's where I really fell in love with athletics. I played football, I wrestled, threw shot put and discus, and I was a competitive cheerleader. From there, I ended up working at a gym here in San Diego, and I worked in the gym for about 12 years. And that's really where I fell in love with the idea of helping people accomplish their goals, where I was coaching, training, and educating people on how to accomplish what they were trying to do. All my mentors and these people that I looked up to within the health and fitness industry all started to convert into selling real estate. So it was kind of a natural progression for me to move from gym memberships and personal training to moving into real estate. And then I got to help people accomplish a much larger goal.

So one of the main reasons why I chose to be a part of the Whissel Realty Group is because with Whissel it's so much more than just buying and selling houses and being a realtor. It's about being a part of your community, giving back to that community, and leaving it better than what you found it. And a big part of my life outside of real estate is I'm a wrestling coach for a local high school. So being a part of Whissel really feeds into being a part of that local community and feeding into my wrestling program to help these young men and women become better, not just athletes, but better people, and really help build our society and our community. It's a lot of fun. So I'm super competitive. And if I think to myself, what does a perfect day look like to me? It has to be filled with competition. So first thing in the morning, I can think of going to jujitsu and rolling around on the mat and throwing some people around. After that, becoming home, jumped on the Xbox with my kids and goofed around with them for a little bit, maybe doing a board game or two.

But yeah, it would have to involve some type of competition where it's me versus whomever and win or lose, it doesn't matter. I just want to be involved in some type of competition. So when I think to myself, what a perfect day would look like, it's going to be involving games and athletics and competition from start to finish. So when I'm asked, what is mine why? What is my reason for getting out of bed every morning and driving through my day-to-day struggles? Without a question, it's my family. It's being the rock for my wife. It's showing my daughter that she can grow up and do whatever she wants. It's showing my sons that as long as they stay focused and driven, they're going to be able to accomplish anything they put their mind to.

It's being the example for my family, that I want them to be able to look up to and strive for. And that's my why. So, in a nutshell, if you're looking for a realtor that you can have a good time with, you can have a drink with, but is also going to get in the trenches and actually fight for you, remember this guy, Mike Proctor, with the Whissel Realty Group.
